“Besides wild huckleberries and chokecherries, apples, and the occasional backyard raspberry patch, there’s not a lot of fruit happening here in Montana. However, things are looking up! Strawberries—the tiny, delicious tasting ones—are being grown by several local farms. And the bare root plant I put in the garden a couple years back produces a handful of berries and multiple runners each year—this is how I got a good look at the plant for drawing purposes.”
