Chokecherries, Lemon Cucumber, and Dill Edible Bozeman Summer 2023

“We create the summer issue six weeks prior to publication so that means no local crop of chokecherries (or corn or tomatoes) to play around with but we do our best! Recipes are more challenging than illustrations because you need real food to cook with (thank you grocery stores and freezers!) but I’ve learned to photograph my garden in each season which helps me illustrate things like chokecherries in May.”
